Bring a Friend

Thinking of inviting a friend or family member to join you at PurePower Yoga? Great!

If they are new to yoga, here are some tips to help ensure it's the best possible experience for them. Bring them to a Power Yoga Basics class unless you know they are in relatively good physical condition or have had other yoga experience. You may also suggest a POWER YOGA FOUNDATION SERIES where they will be introduced to the principals and foundations of Power Yoga over a 2 week series (4 classes), each building upon the previous in a moderately heated room. The Foundation Series is perfect for those new to practicing in a heated environment, those wanting a refresher of the basics or anyone new to yoga. This workshop style class will provide individual attention to alignment and a through understanding of the practice. Students will emerge confident and prepared to take their first Power Yoga class.


Try to arrive early so the instructor can meet them personally and have a brief welcoming conversation and discuss any injuries and special conditions or concerns they may have.

During the class, try to stay in your own practice, allowing the instructor to give your friend whatever assistance or guidance might be needed so you can have as enjoyable a practice as possible.

Encourage your friend to be patient, not try too hard and to enjoy their experience! As Pattahbi Jois says, "practice and all is coming."
